As everything shifts to be just better in the summer (sorry, this is the cold hard truth about life on earth) we are finding it harder and harder to shut out the daylight for normal bedtime procedures. It’s still light, the weather is magnificent, shouldn’t we all just stay up later? Or stick to the bedtime for consistency and preventing a nighttime free for all?

9 things at least somewhat related to life with kids:

  • Snack: Not your run of the mill cut up carrots. This is a tortilla-based toddler snack adults will also enjoy. Don't skimp on the furikake.

  • Wear: Becoming a parent is a momentous occasion! You want to honor that, maybe with a keepsake piece of jewelry? Here’s a bold option for your foray into momtown. PS: Looking for more inspo? We have plenty of options for you right this way.

  • Read: Listen to the teens tell us what their world is like these days.

Our Pool by Lucy Ruth Cummins
  • Read: Prep for summer swims by reading a book that celebrates the greatness that is the community pool.

  • Make: The only content we want to see on the internet this spring/summer is nature bracelets. Nature bracelet > pockets full of dirt and twigs.

  • Rethink: Ask yourself this one question, so that you can do less over-parenting and remember that some struggles can be valuable learning opportunities.

Dunlap Goods Custom Letter Hat
  • Shop: Denim baseball hats for babies with an option to customizeee.

  • Watch: Something silly the whole family can enjoy.

  • Do: Stone fruit season is upon us, which means it’s time to resurface this essential PSA.

Something we we think should be practiced in every school everywhere:

Meditating with Children by Deborah Rozman

🌈 Fact check! Something a child told us this week: A magic square is a number puzzle where every row, column, and diagonal adds up to the same number. Wizards and kings used to think they had special powers!

Over the garden paywall: Trying to set the vibe? A candlehat could help. Or a baby tamandua. Or Elsa Schiaparelli dishing out chic-on-a-budget advice.
